The most evident direction to take my creative piece in after doing so much research about interspecies sound art in my essay is a composition involving more than human sounds. I’m not sure as to what it will be yet, but I am hoping to also utilize some aspects of my own practice with the composition. I would love to experiment with voice as that is an important part of my previous work and I would like to continue to use my voice in my creative pieces. In some ways using my own voice might be fitting as much of my essay involves ecofeminist thought and dialogue. Ecofeminists believe that “there is a connection between man’s domination over women and man’s dominance over nature. For them, it is androcentrism, not anthropocentrism that is responsible.” My voice could work in combination with the “voices” of other species as a platform to resist androcentrism and anthropocentrism.
