After receiving feedback from my group, I feel I have a better sense of the direction I am headed in. I am clear on the length and style of the sounds I am required to create. I have found difficulty in designing sound for visuals that are currently not created yet, but I do want to make sure that what I do give to the rest of my group matches the tone/mood of the game. Most of the sound clips the MA students need are wind, hurricane, and bee sounds. This is hard to accomplish through field recordings, but I have been trying to find alternative ways to recreate the sounds of things like wind or bees. I am using some sound library wind and trees crashing sounds to edit together a storm sound. So far the biggest critique I have received has been that the Bee sound is too mechanical. I completely agree with this feedback and am currently unsure how I can move forward to try and eliminate this mechanical buzzing and transform it into a buzz that sounds organic.
